K2 Infragen Ltd (NSE SME: K2INFRA), a leading infrastructure development company headquartered in New Delhi has announced that it has bagged a significant contract valued at Rs. 90.2 crore for the construction of a 4 Lane Rail Over Bridge on the Patna-Mughalsarai Section of Danapur Division in the District of Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh.
The tender was secured by a joint venture between M/s Gangasagar Singh & PRL Infrastructure, with K2 Infragen being entrusted with the complete executional responsibility for the project by the UP-State Bridge Corporation Ltd. The project is slated for completion within an 18-month timeframe, and shall add to the ongoing efforts for the development of connectivity corridors enhancing mobility across railway tracks by the Uttar Pradesh government. Development of domestic railway sector was emphasized in this year’s Union Budget that allocated Rs 2.41 lakh crore for purchasing modern Vande Bharat trains, laying new tracks, doubling lines on existing routes, and deploying automated train safety technology.The Uttar Pradesh government got the lions share of 17,507 crore from the railway budget.

This contract adds to K2 Infragen’s illustrious project portfolio which includes a track record spanning the engineering, procurement and construction of roads, bridges, railways, water supply works, and buildings, significantly boosting its impressive order book to Rs. 443.73 crores. The company is also currently involved in the construction of a similar 2 lane flyover for the Public Works Department of Madhya Pradesh.
