Aman Sharma Joins WeWork As Associate Director, Managed Offices In Hyderabad

In a move to accelerate the growth of its Managed Office business, WeWork India - the leading flexible workspace provider, announced the appointment of Aman Sharma as the Associate Director for Managed Offices in Hyderabad. Aman's role will be instrumental in driving WeWork India's presence in the city. This appointment comes on the heels of Janak Malkani's recent appointment as Head of Managed Office for India, reflecting the company's commitment to strengthening its leadership team as well as Managed Office offerings.

Bringing over 14 years of diverse sales experience across the hospitality, finance, and real estate sectors, Aman has held pivotal roles at international brands including Marriott International, American Express, and CBRE. Before joining WeWork India, he was instrumental in leading sales processes for managed spaces and operations at Smartworks.

In H1 2024, Hyderabad witnessed a 71% surge in office demand, reaching up to 5 mn sq ft underscoring the city's robust commercial real estate sector. This growth is driven by its appeal to IT giants and startups, attracted by its skilled workforce and supportive business ecosystem. As the city continues to attract significant investments and enhance its infrastructure, WeWork India is strategically positioned to capitalise on these trends. Moreover, as Global Capability Centres (GCCs) increasingly targeted southern markets, Hyderabad has registered 3 mn sq ft in GCC-focused transactions. WeWork in India serves approximately 30% of its members from GCC entities, highlighting this sector as a key area for future growth.

WeWork India operates over 57 locations across eight cities, totalling more than 8 million sq. ft. The company’s expansion is highlighted by the recent launch in Chennai. The Managed Office portfolio now accounts for over one-third of WeWork India's business. These strategic appointments reflect WeWork India's commitment towards enhancing its Managed Office offerings and solidifying its leadership in the flexible workspace industry.
